Photos, Camera, and Permissions
ShapeVision only requests the permissions required for the features you choose to use.
- Camera access is only used if you choose to take photos in the app.
- Photo library access is only used if you choose to import existing photos.
ShapeVision does not request microphone or location access for the core product experience.
Recipients and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share limited information with trusted processors and infrastructure providers acting on behalf of ShapeVision, only to the extent necessary to operate the service.
- Supabase for authentication, database, and storage.
- Apple and Google for billing, subscriptions, and purchase restoration.
- Superwall for paywall presentation and subscription-related flows.
- OpenAI and Google AI services for analysis and generation features you request.
- Vercel for hosting the public legal website.
These providers act under their own contractual and technical frameworks and are not permitted by ShapeVision to access data beyond what is needed for the requested service.
AI Features
Some ShapeVision features rely on AI services to analyze submitted photos and generate fitness-related outputs. This may involve OpenAI and Google AI services.
ShapeVision does not use your submitted content to train or improve its own models. AI requests are sent through API-based service integrations for inference and feature delivery, not for public model training by ShapeVision.
We may also disclose certain information where required by law, to protect users or the public, or to enforce our rights.
Required and Optional Data
Email address and authentication data are required to create and secure an account. Without them, account-based features cannot be provided.
Profile details, training preferences, and photos are optional in general, but some app features cannot work without the specific data they require.
Retention
We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the status of your account.

ShapeVision is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Core application account, profile, and storage data are intended to be hosted through ShapeVision's selected European infrastructure. However, some processors used for service operation or AI features may process limited data outside the EEA, including in the United States.
When such transfers occur, they are made through the relevant provider's contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will update the date shown above and may provide additional notice within the app when appropriate.
